Subject: March 11th: Call for Mass Vaccination Clinic Volunteers

Good afternoon everyone!

On behalf of the CMRO and the PittCoVax Initiative and our partner, the Allegheny County Health Department, I am pleased to share with you that we are moving forward with a collaborative plan for second dose clinics. We ensure each individual vaccinated through our partnership will be able to receive their second dose of Moderna vaccine within the 42-day window acceptable to the CDC.

Second Dose Clinic #1 for Friday March 5th 9-4:30pm at the Petersen Event Center is proceeding as planned. Scheduled volunteers have received a confirmation email – thank you for the incredible response of volunteers!

Second Dose Clinic #2: Thursday, March 11th 9-5:30pm at the former Shop N Save at 1850 Centre Avenue. Individuals who received their first doses in the Hill District on February 5th and 6th will receive phone outreach from members of community organizations in order to schedule their second doses at this clinic.

Call for Volunteers:

We have the opportunity for volunteers to serve in numerous roles during this mass vaccination effort – including clinical and non-clinical roles. Volunteers are asked to please complete these steps in the order listed. If volunteers have already completed Step 1, they may just fill out their availability below in Step 2.

Step 1

If you have not previously registered, PLEASE COMPLETE THE VOLUNTEER ENROLLMENT SURVEY. Otherwise, skip to Step 2.

  * You will only need to complete the Volunteer Enrollment Survey one time. All information will be kept on file for future vaccination efforts.
  * If you are not available for the clinic listed above, but would like to participate in the future, please complete this survey.
  * Click here for the Volunteer Enrollment Survey <https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bqrMkEU9BzfJGyW> <https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bqrMkEU9BzfJGyW>

Step 2

All volunteers will need to inform us of their availability for March 11th by completing this survey: Former Shop N Save Availability Survey <https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cRQRIVxlKRRnk7c> <https://pitt.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cRQRIVxlKRRnk7c>

  * This survey will close on Saturday March 6th at 11:59pm. Any submissions after this time will not be considered for volunteer roles for this clinic date.
  * Volunteers will be assigned on a first response, first placement basis.
  * Volunteers that are placed in roles for the clinic on March 11th will receive a confirmation of their placement by Monday March 8th at 8pm. For any individuals who we are unable to assign a role for these clinics, we ask that they stay tuned for future requests coming next week.

Thank you all for your support and willingness to share these opportunities with your colleagues and students.

Let’s CRUSH COVID!

Hail to Pitt!
