Dear Dr. Ora Weisz,

My name is Abbie Salcedo, and I am a doctoral candidate at Texas State University. I am currently seeking participants for my dissertation project. Participation will include a total of two 1-hr Zoom interviews.

Eligibility criteria for participation:
(a) Must be 18 years or older
(b) self-identify as a woman or female
(c) self-identify as African American, Black, or White
(d) currently employed as a Full Professor at a four-year institution of higher education in the United States
(e) must have experienced and/or witnessed racial workplace injustice (race-based discrimination, harassment, and/or bullying) in their respective workplace in the last two years

This phenomenological dissertation will address this gap in the literature by interviewing women faculty about racial workplace injustice in the last two years. This study will use data from two linked phenomena. First, this study will explore the impact of racial workplace injustice among African American women full professors in the US higher education sector and their coping techniques. Second, this study will investigate how White women full professors perceive their roles when witnessing racial workplace injustice at their respective institutions.
