Subject: Tenure Committee Nominations due Tues Nov 27

TO:                  Members of the UPSOM Executive Committee of the Faculty

FROM:             Ann E. Thompson, MD, MCCM, Vice Dean

RE:                   Tenure Committee Nominations

We are requesting nomination of faculty members to be placed on the ballot for election to the Committee for Tenured Faculty Promotions and Appointments (TFPA).  The TFPA Committee reviews all recommendations for tenured and tenure stream appointments at the rank of associate professor and professor, all tenured and tenure stream promotions to associate professor and professor, as well as conferral of tenure.

To be eligible for nomination, faculty members must be tenured associate professors or tenured professors in either basic science or clinical departments.  Eligible nominees will be placed on the ballot for election to a three year term beginning January 1, 2019.  Please submit your nomination(s) to Barb Good via return e-mail, barb at medschool.pitt.edu<mailto:barb at medschool.pitt.edu> no later than Tuesday, November 27, 2018.  Thank you for your participation in this important process.
