As part of our ongoing effort to improve the service of the WePay system for our participants and users, an upgrade to the WePay system will be implemented tonight which will improve the process for payment reversals. The WePay system will not be available tonight from 8:30 PM until 11:30 PM while this upgrade is implemented. The first change to note is that payment reversals can be made in any amount up to the available balance on the card. Previously, payment reversal amounts had to be at least $10.00. Also, the current card value will be displayed for your reference in the "Enter Payment Amounts" screen panel.
The second major change is that payment reversals can now be performed on subject cards all the way until the date of expiration (the last day of the month embossed on the card.) The 180-day expiration window no longer applies to payment reversal transactions; however, the restriction on loading payments within the 180-day expiration window is still in effect.
Finally, the system path for loading and reversing payments has been separated. The main menu for study coordinators and study aides now has two distinctly different choices of "Make a Payment" and "Reverse a Payment". The process will be much clearer now as each screen panel under Make a Payment will have the "Make a Payment" label on it, and each screen panel under Reverse a Payment will have the "Reverse a Payment" label on it.
Please be sure that you are logged out of WePay no later than 8:30 PM tonight and please do not attempt to log on before 11:30 PM. This is traditionally a period of very low activity, so WePay users are not likely to be affected. We apologize for any inconvenience this brief outage may cause you and your participants.
