Class of 2021,

The University of Pittsburgh is making plans to stand up a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on campus soon under the guidance of the CMRO (COVID-19 Medical Response Office). The clinic will be an interprofessional program with PittPharmacy assuming a leadership role through Dr. Melissa McGivney and a supporting team of Dr. Kim Coley, Dr. Amy Seybert, and Ms. Amy Giles. The effort will require the daily presence of licensed health professional and student immunizers including pharmacists/students to prepare and administer vaccine and individuals to screen, register and monitor those being immunized.

A separate notification will be sent regarding opportunities to volunteer. Some individuals will also be hired. Amy Giles is the contact person for volunteers.

Thank you already to those faculty and staff who have brought us to the point we are with both vaccinating students and preparing to administer vaccine. This is a proud moment of great responsibility for PittPharmacy.

Now let’s get together and Crush COVID!
