Hello Students,

As the Spring semester is getting started soon, information is coming out from the University about students returning to campus. Classes will be starting remotely next week and we are busy loading Canvas with course information. Many of you are scheduled for on-site experiential learning activities (eg. IPPEs, APPEs) and/or training courses (ex. immunization training, CPR training). Our role on the health care team in this time of the pandemic is more important than ever! We are very proud that so many of you have been helping with the vaccine clinics across the state.

If you had planned a January return to Pittsburgh for on-site learning or a training course/certification, please proceed with your plans. Our P4 APPEs and P3 IPPEs for January are already underway this week.

Look for an announcement later this week that provides detailed guidance for graduate and professional students returning to Pittsburgh for classes and on-site learning experiences (eg. sheltering, staying with your pod, etc).

More to come—

Prof. Skledar
