Hello Students,

Thanks to those who have been volunteering at the Vaccine Clinic! The work you are doing is so important! UPMC Pharmacy leadership is very grateful for your efforts. A few key details and reminders:

When you are at the Clinic, please wear scrubs or professional dress, as you are not only representing Pitt Pharmacy, but you are in a healthcare environment where you taking care of patients and visitors. The Clinic is a UPMC workplace.

If you are unsure what to do when you arrive, please ask Dr. Hoffman, Mavrodin, L'Altrelli, or the other UPMC leadership for how you can help. There are so many activities that go on there -- please be proactive about where you can help and actively contribute.

Thank you,

Prof. Skledar

Subject: Vaccine Clinic Volunteer Opportunities: UPMC Southside Clinic

Hello Students,

The UPMC Southside COVID Vaccine Clinic is operating every day, and Drs. Hoffman and Mavrodin have created an easy way for you to sign-up for this volunteer opportunity. When you click the SignUp Genius link below, you can see the days/times of the clinics, and then you can sign up for the time you can go there to volunteer, around your class schedule. Please type in the actual times you will commit to being at the clinic (ex. 12:30-1:30pm). It can be for 1 hour, 2 hours, etc. The team at the Southside Clinic will expect you to be there if you sign up.

P1s and P2s: If you are going to count this toward your IPPE project hours requirement for P2 and P3 year (for next year), you can do that. I will be sending a reminder about how to do that via a separate email. A signed Activity Log and reflection are required.
