I am excited to announce UofL Health – UofL Hospital has a new residency training opportunity: PGY1 Specialty Pharmacy, Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program, which will apply for ASHP pre-candidate status and accreditation for the 2021-2022 residency year. This comprehensive training program incorporates direct patient care in both specialty and community pharmacy settings within a health-system. This program is structured according to ASHP’S Residency Program Design and Conduct and is designed to be individualized to the resident’s professional goals and interests.



At a Glance:

  *   Residency duration: 12 months
  *   Application deadline: 11/25/20
  *   Start date: Late June
  *   Interview required: Yes
  *   Curriculum vitae required: Yes
  *   Letters of recommendation: 3
     *   Please request letters to be sent directly to residency program director via email using the attached template by the letter writer (i.e. residency candidate should NOT submit these with the rest of their application)
  *   Formal Letter of intent (strengths, weaknesses, goals, what about UofL interests)
  *   Transcript
     *   An official transcript can be mailed to residency program director at 550 S. Jackson St, Louisville, KY, 40202.
     *   An unofficial transcript can be emailed to residency program director.
  *   Application will be submitted to residency program director via email (emily.o’reilly at uoflhealth.org). (Not participating in the ASHP Match or utilizing PhORCAS the first application cycle).
