[Rx2021] Indian Health Service Shiprock APPE Ambulatory Care Available in Block 8

Dear Students,
IHS Shiprock has offered an opportunity for two students to do an on-site APPE Ambulatory Care rotation in block 8.  EValue contains more information about the rotation.  Housing details have changed as follows:

Student housing in Shiprock has been repurposed during our COVID response so it hasn’t been available for a while now.  Some pharmacists are renting out rooms in Farmington (~40 min drive, but the students do work 4x10hr shifts instead of 5x8hr shifts which cuts down on the commute a bit. They will need their own car). The rooms are $25-$50/week. If anyone has questions about the housing they can email sophia.yang at ihs.gov.

If your scheduled block 8 rotation has been canceled or if you are interested in changing your current block 8 rotation to this, please let me or Prof. Skledar know in the next few days.  Some interested students may not be able to switch due to graduation or ARCO requirements, however we will consider all requests.
