On Saturday, November 14, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy will be participating in the American Heart Association Pittsburgh Heart Walk through the APhA-ASP chapter. This year, it is easier than ever to get involved for a great cause! Once you do so, make sure to download the Heart app, and join us on November 14th to walk virtually! You can also bike, dance, or run— the goal is to get moving to help save lives! There is so cost to sign up, but it is encouraged to fundraise money for the American Heart Association. Also, on the day of the walk, make sure to post pictures with #PghHeartWalk to show your support!

The money fundraised goes towards lifesaving research such as: creating artificial heart valves, preventing strokes, helping babies with heart defects, trying to find a cure for high blood pressure, combatting coronavirus for those at-risk, and much more! Cardiovascular disease is currently the #1 cause of death and joining this walk is one step you can make in taking a stand against heart disease.
