Hello P3s,

St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital is now accepting applications for pediatric inpatient acute care or ambulatory care APPEs at their hospital in Memphis, TN. Students will spend this rotation assigned to an individual inpatient oncology service (leukemia/lymphoma, solid tumor/neuro-oncology, or bone marrow transplant) or an ambulatory care service (hematology, oncology or HIV).

St. Jude’s receives requests for these rotations from students at Schools of Pharmacy across the country, so the selection process is very competitive. They place students from their local schools first, and then consider out-of-state student applications. If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, materials are due by October 31st to Dr. John McCormick at St. Jude’s at john.mccormick at stjude.org<mailto:john.mccormick at stjude.org>. Materials due are the application document, CV, and letter of interest. The full application is posted to the Home Page of E*Value under “Specialized APPE Information.”

Please let Dr. Pschirer and myself know that you are interested in applying for the APPE rotation, and which type/blocks you have applied. Students must adhere to the Oct 31st deadline for turning in your materials to St. Jude’s.

Students will be notified by Dec 31st if they are selected/not selected for this experience.
