[PERIS-Listserv] ALERT: Information for Common Forms for Biographical Sketch and Pending (Other) Support Documents

Effective January 25, 2026, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are requiring the use of Common Forms for Biographical Sketch and Pending (Other) Support documents, Per NIH Notice NOT-OD-26-018<https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-26-018.html>.

  *   Do not flatten PDFs or Print to PDF. Save and upload into the application, the exact file downloaded from SciENcv https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sciencv/
     *   Biosketches can be verified as the original with Adobe PDF. When the file is open, a signature panel message will display and include the SciENcv URL.

  *   Current NIH Technical Issues:
     *   The NIH has identified a validation issue in eRA Commons when the new SciENcv documents are included in applications. The NIH is working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, but applications may receive warnings in the meantime. For example:

  *   Ensure the Common Forms for Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support and NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement are used for application submission for due dates on or after January 25, 2026.
