ASEEES Survey on Impact and Priorities
Please take a moment to respond to a brief 4-question survey on ASEEES impact and priorities. Your input will strengthen our efforts to secure and sustain scholarship about the region and guard against potential decreases in federal funding and shifting priorities. Next ASEEES Webinar, March 7
The second webinar in our Spring series will be held March 7 at 12pm. "Introducing the Herder Institute: Collections, Funding Opportunities, and Higher Education Partnerships" will use the Herder-Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe as an example of extramural institutions. First, participants will be provided detailed information about the Institute's collections and holdings (including 5 million newspaper clippings, close to 700,000 images, 40,000 historical maps, a library with half a million items etc.). Participants will learn about the fellowship and partnership programs available, in addition to the Institute's profile in the field of Digital humanities. Using the Herder Institute as an example, Peter Haslinger will also elaborate on the forms of cooperation in German academia to foster strategic partnerships between non-university institutions and universities and networking strategies on the global level.
