Dear members:
ASEEES UPCOMING WEBINAR
We are starting our New Year off with a webinar: "Publishing Your First Book" to be held Wed, Jan 20, 2016 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EST
Linda Manning, of Northern Illinois University Press, will teach attendees how to prepare for submitting a proposal-and eventually a manuscript-to an academic publisher. Topics covered will include seeking out publishers, making contact, submitting a proposal, and an overview of the publishing process. There will be some specific guidance provided for publishing a revised dissertation.
To register, please go to the ASEEES Member Site<https://netforum.avectra.com/eweb/StartPage.aspx?Site=ASEEES&WebCode=webinars>.
ASEEES FIRST BOOK SUBVENTION PROGRAM
The ASEEES Board of Directors has dedicated $10,000 per year from the Association's endowment dividends for subvention of books by first-time authors who have already secured publishing contracts. Multiple awards of up to $2,500 will be made on a competitive basis each year, with funds paid directly to the press. We encourage ASEEES members to work with their publishers to submit applications. The next deadline is February 1.
