Dear ASEEES Members:
Having wrapped up another successful convention in Philadelphia, we are grateful to all those who participated in making the 2015 convention such a dynamic event. If you presented a paper, you can still upload your 2015 Convention paper, and any ASEEES members or convention attendees can now read any uploaded papers. Please keep in mind that this is voluntary, so only the papers that were uploaded by the presenters will be available. The instructions can be found at: http://www.aseees.org/convention/upload-paper
We are already planning for the 2016 Annual Convention in Washington, DC, Nov. 17-20, 2016. The 2016 Convention Theme is Global Conversations: http://www.aseees.org/convention/2016-theme We anticipate this convention to be very well attended. Please note that panel/roundtable proposals have a much higher chance of acceptance than individual paper submissions. We strongly encourage all prospective participants to organize, or be part of, panel/roundtable proposals. You can use our paper/panel wanted board to find your panelists: http://www.aseees.org/convention/paperspanels-wanted-board The call for proposals will be posted by mid-December. The proposal deadlines are: Feb 5 for individual papers; Feb 15 for panel/roundtables.
We are also delighted to announce the inaugural recipients of the ASEEES First Book Subvention program: http://www.aseees.org/news-events/aseees-news-feed/2015-aseees-first-book-subvention-recipients-announced
The application deadline for the Cohen-Tucker Dissertation Research Fellowship program is Dec 11: http://www.aseees.org/programs/ctdrf Please share this information with any interested students.
The call for proposal deadline for the ASEEES-MAG Summer Convention in Lviv, Ukraine, June 26-28, 2016 is Jan. 6: http://www.aseees.org/summer-convention Please share widely.
Also, today - Tuesday, December 1 - is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. We have launched many new programs in the last three years, such as the convention travel grants and the first book subvention, and your contributions have made them possible. Please consider giving to ASEEES as we work to launch more programs in 2016 to support our members: http://www.aseees.org/donate
As always, please feel free to contact me with comments or questions about ASEEES.
Best,
Lynda
