The Honors Committee has extended the deadline for nominations for the 2015 ASEEES Distinguished Contributions in Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies Award to May 8 (Deadline Extended). Upcoming ASEEES Webinar: Please join us for our next ASEEES webinar, sponsored by CLIR: "The World of LibGuides -- Thinking Beyond Your University," on Wed, Apr 22, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT
LibGuides is a Content Management System used to curate knowledge and share information by creating online Guides on any topic, subject, course, process, etc. Jon Giullian (University of Kansas) and Erik Zitser (Duke University) will teach attendees how LibGuides can be used to save time and effort by enabling content sharing locally and globally (the Springshare community will be highlighted as an example of broader content-sharing).

Nominations for Graduate Student Representative: ASEEES invites graduate students or their advisors to submit nominations for the position of Graduate Student Representative on the ASEEES Board of Directors. All materials must be submitted to ASEEES by April 27 (Deadline Extended). Return of Title VIII Program:  We are delighted to announce that the Title VIII program received appropriations of $1.5 million for this year.  The U.S. State Department has announced the competition for institutions to apply for funding to run their programs.  We should know by late summer/early fall which programs will be supported by Title VIII:  http://www.aseees.org/news-events/aseees-news-feed/title-viii-funding-returns
