Dear Members:
The June edition of NewNet is now available here: http://aseees.org/newsnet/2012-05.pdf
It features articles on the current state of government in Hungary; the use of mass media in the Ural Working Class Movement; internet use in Russia; online niche communities; and an introduction to Bturn, an online magazine focused on the Balkans. We also recognized the ACLS fellowship recipients and the ACTR National Post-Secondary Russian Essay contest winners. As a reminder, the summer issue of NewsNet is only available electronically. Because of this new format (used only for the summer issue; the August edition will be circulated both in print and electronically), we are able to provide you with a great range of content: Blue text and most images and graphics are hyperlinked to related external webpages. Two links are of particular importance:
* The gender equality survey found in NN and here http://www.aseees.org/additional/gendersurvey.html
* And the registration form for the 2012 Annual ASEEES Convention, New Orleans, Nov. 15-18: http://www.aseees.org/convention.html
Finally, Sage Publications is offering a free trial of its East European Politics and Societies and Cultures. By registering for this free trial, you will have access to East European Politics and Societies and Cultures<http://eep.sagepub.com?utm_source=email&utm_medium=journalproduct&utm_content=journaltitle&utm_campaign=1129039> (EEPS) until June 30, 2012.
East European Politics and Societies and Cultures<http://eep.sagepub.com?utm_source=email&utm_medium=journalproduct&utm_content=journaltitle&utm_campaign=1129039> covers a full interdisciplinary range of topics. Help EEPS celebrate its new name (the addition of the tag line "and Cultures) and the many-scripted design of the cover. Both affirm the journal's commitment to the region's diversity. During the free trial period, you can read current issues as well as the full back list - over 25 years of articles. Please let me know what questions you have and please send news to me for inclusion in the August edition.
