Dear Members:
The March edition of NewNet is now available here: http://www.aseees.org/publications/newsnetmain.html
It features articles on the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Soviet Union as reflected in academic conferences/panels; dialogue related to a piece featured in our March 2010 edition; and an introduction to American University of Central Asia's work. Membership and convention preregistration forms are available, as is important information about ASEEES recognition awards, book prizes and affiliate institution awards.
Please send news (personages, publications etc) to me for inclusion in the May/June edition.
Also, please renew your membership by filling out the form in the NewsNet or by following the directions available here: http://www.aseees.org/membership/membershipindividual.html
Finally, we are now accepting nominations for our various recognition awards and book prizes. More information, eligibility requirements, nomination instructions and deadlines for each prize can be found here: http://www.aseees.org/prizes.html
Of particular importance, given its quickly upcoming deadline, is the Tucker Cohen prize for outstanding doctoral dissertation. This prize has an application deadline of April 15, 2012. http://www.aseees.org/prizes/tuckercohenprize.html
Likewise, the deadline for the Davis Travel Grant, which supports graduate student attendance at the 2012 ASEEES conference, is April 15, 2012. http://www.aseees.org/convention/davisgrant.html
Please let me know what questions you have.
