Dear ASEEES Members:
It was wonderful to see so many of you at the DC Convention last week. Now that the 2011 convention has come to a successful end, we are announcing some changes to the ASEEES website. We will be redesigning all aspects of our online presence in phases. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work to improve online benefits and networking opportunities for our members. We apologize for any inconvenience that the changes may cause.
Phase 1: new ASEEES Members Site with Avectra Netforum (https://netforum.avectra.com/eWeb/DynamicPage.aspx?Site=ASEEES&WebCode=LoginRequired )
Set your password first – Because this is a new database system with a new company, you will need to set your password again. The old passwords have not been transferred, but you can set your password to be the same as before. To set your password, go to “Forgot Your Password?”
Join or renew your membership – After you set your password and log in, you can join/renew your ASEEES membership for 2012. Click on “Join/Renew Membership” in the left navigation to make an online payment. Remember that you will have to be a current member of ASEEES to gain member access to Slavic Review on JSTOR starting in January 2012.
New convention management site – ASEEES is using a new convention management company (All Academic, Inc.) to handle submissions and scheduling. You can now log in through the same Members Site and then click on “Convention” in the left navigation to
submit your proposals online. You can submit your individual paper proposal (PAPER DEADLINE: 5:00pm US EST, Dec. 16, 2011), submit panel/roundtable proposals, volunteer to be a chair and/or discussant, and/or submit an affiliate meeting room request online (Deadline: January 15, 2012).
Coming Soon for Phase 2:
More announcements of job, funding and conference opportunities with a searchable directory; Professional/social networking possibilities for members; Online resources
Phase 3 will include: redesign of our public pages and searchable convention program and individualized schedule
Please feel free to contact the ASEEES staff with any questions and concerns as we move through this redesign process. As always, we appreciate your support.
