<p class="MsoNormal">I am one of the Co-Investigators of this study, based at the University of Utah, funded through the NIH National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) effort. I want to make sure everyone knows the deadline for application to the next cohort
has been extended to <b>Monday, September 27! </b> This is the 5<sup>th</sup> cohort since the study began in 2020. Due to the pandemic, all of the sessions are conducted virtually. Briefly, participants meet bi-weekly for 5-6 months in groups of 4-5 with
a faculty Coach who has been successful at obtaining research grants and has been trained in the group method. The study is a randomized trial comparing 4 different group process designs. It is not a typical ‘controlled’ design, where some individuals receive
no coaching, since the benefit of grant writing coaching groups has already been established.

<p class="MsoNormal">Participation in the study is open to faculty and advanced postdoctoral fellows who have not yet received NIH R01-level funding. Participants can be working on NIH K or R-type proposals, or equivalent for other agencies, and will be actively
