Anyone want to be nominated? This is an interesting committee to sit on, and not intensive.
Cheers,
Ora

RE: Call for Nominations for Faculty Representatives to the UPSOM Executive Committee of the Faculty
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) Executive Committee of the Faculty is the administrative body of the School of Medicine whose membership comprises our 31 Department Chairs and nine elected representatives of the faculty. Of the nine faculty representatives, three representatives must hold primary appointments in basic science departments and six must hold primary appointments in clinical departments. Faculty representatives must hold the rank of associate professor or professor. The Executive Committee deliberates on UPSOM policy and procedure, plans for the execution of those policies and procedures and, as an advisory body to the Dean, acts on recommendations for faculty appointments and promotions.
At this time, we seek to elect one representative from a basic science department and two representatives from clinical departments. The call for nominations is now open. Each individual who is nominated, and who accepts the nomination, will be listed on a ballot that will be distributed to all faculty. The individuals elected by the faculty will serve on the Executive Committee beginning July 2019 through June 2022.
Nominations are due no later than Friday, June 21, 2019 and can be submitted via email to the Office of Faculty Affairs at facaffairs at medschool.pitt.edu<mailto:facaffairs at medschool.pitt.edu>. Self-nominations are welcome. Former elected representatives are eligible for nomination and re-election.
Best wishes,
Ann
