HHMI just announced a new eight year grant program to promote diversity in science. Eligible candidates must be Female/URM/disabled AND within 1 year of the graduating from a PhD, MD/PhD, clinical residency, or clinical fellowship. Since the applications are due in January, this actually translates into 6 months from their start data as a post doc.
If you know of any potential applicants who would be competitive for this award, please let me know ASAP- we'd love to have someone from Pittsburgh in the pool.
Cheers,
Ora
