I was impressed by Dr. King before, but now she has my undying admiration. Ora, thank you so much for sharing this.

You probably know that Mary-Claire King, won the Lasker Award (2014) and is a superb scientist who identified BRCA as a breast cancer gene and who has also has used her science for human rights issues.

She describes an episode in her life that has very low and very high points, good guys and a bad guy, and tells it with amazing perspective and humor. It was featured on “The Moth”, a podcast from a non-profit group based in New York City dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling.
