On behalf of the Group on Women in Medicine and Science (GWIMS), the GWIMS Research and Product Development Subcommittee is excited to announce the launch of the first two chapters of the GWIMS Toolkit on the GWIMS Web site: https://www.aamc.org/members/gwims/toolkit/.

The GWIMS Toolkit is a series of presentations designed to provide practical guidance on a variety of topics relevant to women faculty in academic medicine. Each presentation provides an overview of the topic, relevant best practices, tips on implementation, and useful references for more information. We encourage you to share these resources with interested colleagues at your organization.

Current GWIMS Toolkit Chapters:
Leveraging Your Career
Chapter 1: Managing through Teamwork for Maximum Performance (Judy Weber)
Chapter 2: Crafting a Fundable Grant (Emina Huang)

Toolkit submissions are authored by GWIMS members and are reviewed and edited by the GWIMS Research and Product Development Subcommittee. We welcome submissions and topic ideas from the GWIMS community. Presentations should be:

* Important and useful for women faculty

*         Practical and pithy

* Sourced with quality references that allow readers to find more detail on important points in the presentation

* A showcase of real life examples of problem-solving on the ground

The research subcommittee is currently working on volumes on "Leveraging Your Career" and "Starting and Maintaining a WIMS Program." However, submissions on any topic useful to women faculty are welcomed.

If you'd like to write a chapter for the toolkit, please submit a short description (250 words) of what you would cover and why it is important to gwims at aamc.org<mailto:gwims at aamc.org>.
