RE: Call for Nominations
Nominations of faculty members are being solicited for the election of Member-at-Large to the Executive Committee of the School of Medicine. Those nominated will be listed on a ballot which will be distributed to all faculty. The term will begin July 1, 2012.
The Executive Committee is the administrative body of the School of Medicine whose membership is comprised of the 30 department chairs and 3 members-at-large. It is an advisory body to the Dean and acts upon recommendations for faculty appointments and promotions, and plans for the execution of administrative policies and procedures.
We are soliciting nominations for two vacancies.
1) Faculty members who hold a primary appointment as associate professor or professor in one of the School's basic science departments - to be elected to a three year term.
2) Faculty members who hold a primary appointment as associate professor or professor in one of the School's clinical departments - to be elected to a two year term.
Nominations are due no later than March 30, 2012 and can be submitted via email to the Office of Faculty Affairs (e-mail address facaffairs at medschool.pitt.edu<mailto:facaffairs at medschool.pitt.edu>) or to Theresa Ratti (e-mail address theresa at medschool.pitt.edu<mailto:theresa at medschool.pitt.edu>).
