Those of you in the clinician-educator track may be interested in the
latest issue of AAMC's Faculty Vitae, which focuses on educational
scholarship and includes features on Educational Scholarship: How Do We
Define and Acknowledge It? and The Educator Portfolio: A Tool for Career
Development. You can access these using the link below:
http://www.aamc.org/members/facultydev/facultyvitae/winter08/start.htm
Also, the AAMC Early Career Women Faculty Professional Development
Seminar dates have been set for July 12-15, 2008 at the Ritz-Carlton
Hotel in
Washington, D.C. Applications open in February. This is a terrific
program and I urge junior faculty in the Department to consider
applying. The Office of Faculty Affairs has some funds to defray the
costs, and often times your division chief will cover the remainder.
Please contact me if you need more information.
Finally, this issue includes a link to the latest Women in US Academic
Medicine Statistics and Medical School Benchmarking Report.
