<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">I am currently one of six residents at Baylor University Medical Center, located in Dallas, Texas. We have four PGY-1 positions, and one PGY-2 critical care, oncology and solid organ transplant residency. Our program
will be starting its <span style="background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow"></span>31st year next June and will be recruiting four residents. Baylor University Medical Center is an acute care, tertiary, community teaching hospital licensed for 914 beds. Baylor
is a Level 1 trauma center with</span><span style="color:red"> </span>extensive opportunities for pharmacists in both solid organ transplant as well as oncology<span style="color:black">. Baylor University Medical Center pharmacy is known nationwide for its
innovative practice model, outstanding research, and excellent clinical pharmacy program.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">I was drawn to Baylor for the diverse rotational experiences as well as professional growth and research opportunities. BUMC has the clinical opportunities of a large academic medical center and the intimate team
dynamic of a community hospital. As the flagship hospital for a 26 hospital health system, BUMC is an integral part of driving change within the system. We are a Level 1 Trauma, comprehensive stroke center and receive some of the sickest patients in the Dallas
area. Our medicine, cardiology, and ICUs often receive patient transfers for higher levels of care, always ensuring our residents see the most interesting cases in the system. Preceptors take a genuine interest in the learning and success of the resident and
provide useful feedback on a daily basis. The PGY-1 residency at BUMC prepares its residents to become well-rounded pharmacists ready to pursue clinical practice or a PGY-2 residency.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
