<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">Pitt SSHP would like to invite all student members to participate in our Annual Clinical Skills Competition, which will take place on October 2nd and October 3rd, 2017. *Note that this is a change
from past years. The CSC has been revised to better emulate the national process. If you are one of the 3 "top teams" who advance to the final round, you will now have overnight to prepare your oral presentation and must be available on October 3rd to present
to the judges where the winning team will be determined. </font></div>

<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000"><b>October 2nd:</b><br>

<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">5:00 - participants arrive (402 Salk Hall)</font></div>
<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">5:30 - Competition begins</font></div>
<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">7:30 - Competition ends - Cases must be submitted at this time; participants retreat to atrium for dinner and can go home at their leisure</font></div>
<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">10:00 - By 10pm the 3 "top teams" will be notified by phone/email by SSHP if you have advanced to the final round. The 3 "top teams" will have overnight to prepare their oral presentation/defense
which they will present to the judges on October 3rd at 12pm. This will include a 2-minute case presentation and an 8-minute question & answer session with the judges.</font></div>

<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">12:00-1:00pm - Final Round (458 Salk Hall) -The 3 "top teams" present and defend their case to the judges followed by judges' Q&A. <u>Everyone</u> is invited to come and watch the final round.
SSHP strongly encourages attending and cheering on the finalists!</font></div>

<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">For those who are not familiar with the competition, students will participate in the competition in teams of two. At the beginning of the competition, student teams are each provided with a patient
case. Teams have two hours to work through the case, and at the end of two hours teams must submit a prioritized patient assessment and plan for review by a panel of judges, made up of both faculty members and pharmacy residents. Judges will review all submissions
and select three top teams to present and defend their assessment/care plan during the final round on October 3rd, from 12pm-1pm. </font></div>

<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">The winning team members will each receive full reimbursement (registration, hotel and travel up to $1,000) for attending the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition (December 3-7, 2017 in
Orlando, FL) and will represent PittPharmacy in the national Clinical Skills Competition that takes place during this conference. <br>

<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000">We highly encourage students from all classes to participate in the competition! Dinner will be provided the night of the competition. If you are planning to participate, please complete the google
form below by<b> midnight on Wednesday, 9/27</b>. Both team members should fill out the google form. Filling out this google form will be considered as a committment that both students on the team will be present for the competition. Failure to attend the
competition after you have signed up will result in $10 fee to cover your meal cost. </font></div>
