[Rx2021] PittPharmacy Local Patient Counseling Competition

Hi everyone!

Just a reminder to sign-up for the Patient Counseling Competition held on Monday, February 8th! The sign-up form will close on Monday, February 1st at 9am.

This is a low-stakes opportunity for everyone to practice their patient counseling skills! We will be providing participants a list of drugs to prepare later next week. If you have any conflicts and can only participate at a certain time of the evening, you can also let us know, and we will try our best to accommodate you. The winner will represent PittPharmacy at the national APhA competition while top 10 participants will receive a prize.

The Local Competition is modeled after the National Competition. Competitors will individually counsel a Standardized Patient for 5 minutes after taking 5 minutes to prepare and review the patient chart. A list of 10 drugs will be provided a week before the competition so that competitors can prepare for the case. Top 10 individuals will receive a prize from APhA-ASP. The winner will compete on behalf of PittPharmacy in the National Competition (Preliminary Round February 25-26, Final Round March 10).
