[Rx2021] Rho Chi Vitalant Blood Drives

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had the chance to settle into the new semester. I am here to announce this semester’s blood drives! We are once again working with Vitalant to help provide the Pittsburgh Area with blood donations, which have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Vitalant is following all CDC and PA State protocols for donations, which include wearing a mask, having temperature taken, and social distancing at least 6 feet. Below is a message from Dale Ellgass, a Vitalant representative, detailing how PittPharmacy students can participate and make a great impact on our community:

NOTE: If you already have an account with Vitalant (formerly Central Blood Bank) enter the email address associated with your Vitalant account on the sign-up sheet.

  1.  You will receive a response to “Schedule Now” to book your appointment at any Vitalant donor center (see attached list) or blood drive near you (See below)
  2.  Prepare for your donation by eating a healthy meal and drinking plenty of water.  Remember to bring a photo ID with you.
  3.  At the drive, give this Group Code (CU190042) to the person who conducts your mini-physical so we can count your donation.
