Hello Class of 2021,

Just a friendly reminder, please be sure to keep an eye out for a discrepancy letter from the PA State Board of Pharmacy (and any other board(s) to which you may have applied). If you receive a discrepancy letter, please pay careful attention to what they need from you in order for your file to be marked complete and cleared for the NABP.

Be sure that you have also completed the NABP process so that the PA SBOP can confirm your eligibility for an Authorization to Test (ATT) to be generated. We sent NABP registration instructions on 3/4. If you are applying to out of state boards, please be sure to follow their instructions on registering for board exams for specific information suited to your situation (e.g. score transfer).

I have received a few inquiries this morning concerning NABP registration and ATT emails. It appears that the PA SBOP has started processing your forms and clearing students for licensure, which prompted the NABP to begin contacting students and notify them of their eligibility to register for the NAPLEX and MPJE exams. This is excellent news! However, the NABP communication notifying students of their test eligibility may not be clear.

If you receive the eligibility email, you can log in to your account on NABP to see your application status.

In 2020, the NABP required a pharmacy school representative to upload a final, official transcript to verify degree/requirements completion. This was due to the number of fraudulent applications and incorrect graduation dates entered by applicants which caused much confusion for NABP and State Board representatives. If you recall, you signed a transcript waiver that enables me to receive a copy of your final, official transcript from the University Registrar Office. Therefore, there is no need to order an official transcript to be sent directly to the NABP for the purpose of degree verification. There will be a delay between the official posted institutional graduation date and the date degrees are processed and transcripts made available to students. The anticipated date degrees will be available is June 7th and the URO Transcript/Enrollment Department is hoping to print them on June 8th for me to scan and upload to the NABP. This is a priority and I will upload them as soon as they are made available after June 7th. Your ability to purchase an exam will likely not be prior to 6/9/2021.

As of an email sent to the Deans last Thursday (4/8/2021), NABP confirmed that PearsonVue has significantly increased the number of available testing sites and the NABP anticipates maintaining access to the additional testing sites for the foreseeable future. More information on PearsonVue’s COVID19 plan can be found here - https://home.pearsonvue.com/Test-takers.aspxPearsonVue<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fhome.pearsonvue.com%2FTest-takers.aspxPearsonVue&data=04%7C01%7Crx2021%40list.pitt.edu%7C2b0522e5b52c486638f708d8fe961a68%7C9ef9f489e0a04eeb87cc3a526112fd0d%7C1%7C0%7C637539267921431017%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=lFA72bU7rdezINp787nM8fY9mOe666VdphwZ1zlBOok%3D&reserved=0>. Testing site availability is dependent on federal and local governments and available test dates may vary based on the test center availability. Please keep a close eye on your PALS and NABP accounts as well as the NABP page for any updates with the testing sites - https://nabp.pharmacy/<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fnabp.pharmacy%2F&data=04%7C01%7Crx2021%40list.pitt.edu%7C2b0522e5b52c486638f708d8fe961a68%7C9ef9f489e0a04eeb87cc3a526112fd0d%7C1%7C0%7C637539267921441009%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=dPtQvB3swjfrflfXACRyz%2Fj41Cxy58piKBviYKxZVZE%3D&reserved=0>.

Thank you for your continued patience as you navigate through the complex licensure process. Please feel free to contact me or Professor Skledar should you need anything further.
