Hello P3s,

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is offering APPE rotations for the 2020-2021 rotation year. The available APPE rotations and the application process is outlined below. Please read everything carefully and send your application to Dr. Rocafort as outlined. Advanced practice rotations are determined by the student's interest and preceptor availability. Of note, for 2020-2021, APPE rotations will start in September 2020. The NIH requires that the student has completed at least one inpatient acute care experience prior to coming.

Required documentation includes a CV/resume, and a letter of intent indicating your professional interests and how those will be accomplished by doing a rotation here. In the second page of letter of intent please indicate the top three APPE areas you are interested in, and what specific months/dates you are available, and also whether you have US citizenship, permanent residency or are an international student. Please send your CV titled as "Firstname_lastname_20 CV" and letter of intent as "Firstname_lastname_20 LOI" by November 29, 2019. Decisions will be made on a rolling basis. All emails should be sent to PatrickTim.Rocafort at nih.gov<mailto:PatrickTim.Rocafort at nih.gov>.

International students are welcomed but there has to be mutual understanding between the preceptor and student that it will require additional paperwork and time for processing and may result in a delays and possible cancellations of rotation.

Please let me, Dr. Pschirer, and Ms. Schmotzer know if you are applying for this rotation.
