Just a friendly reminder that the deadline date to let me know if you are interested in participating in the “Visit You Middle School/High School Campaign” is tomorrow, November 1, 2019.

Thank you to all who already responded to me and are participating!!! I am hoping to have additional participants! This experience is a lot of fun and I know you would enjoy going back and sharing you PittPharmacy experience with your alma mater!

Pharmacy Students:

Did you ever think about going back to your middle school or high school to share with your school counselor or favorite teacher about your PittPharmacy experience?  Last year with your help, over 30 high schools were visited by our pharmacy students!  This was awesome and I am hoping we can visit more schools this year!

The RxTalent Team (Recruitment Team for the School of Pharmacy) again is inviting you to participate in the “Visit Your Middle School/High School” Campaign over the Holiday Break .  The event will take place the week of December 16 – December 20, 2019.  As you may know or remember,  Middle Schools and High Schools are looking for activities to fill the days before the holiday break and will welcome a visit from you!

We would love for you to reach out to your school counselor or a favorite teacher to see if they are interested in having you come back for a 15-30-minute Doctor of Pharmacy career presentation. (Don’t worry, we will go over the details with you regarding your presentation!) If you are interested in participating, we encourage you to begin contacting schools now so they can plan accordingly.

If you are planning to participate, please inform me by Friday, November 1, 2019 and include the following:


  *   Your middle school or high school name
  *   If you are aware of any other PharmD student from the same high school (we can coordinate a group visit so that we do not overwhelm the schools)
  *   A brief (1-2 sentences) message of what you would want the students to know about you and your experience as a PittPharmacy student.


With this information we will create a personalized flyer with your picture that you will be able to take to the schools to distribute to the students.

There will be an informational luncheon meeting on Friday, November 22, 2019 in 402 Salk Hall to discuss the details of the school visits.
Please let me know by Friday, November 1, 2019 if you are able to attend.
