Hey fellow P2s,

My name is Melanie Umbaugh and I am the current President of the RxAmbassadors. The RxAmbassadors are opening several hiring positions to current P2 students for next year. Read below to find out more:

Who are the RxAmbassadors?
RxAmbassadors is an organization of student pharmacists chosen to represent PittPharmacy in various recruitment scenarios. We utilize our ambassadors to spread the word about PittPharmacy to high school students via programs such as SimMan presentations, Admitted Student Days, and Blue & Gold Days, just to name a few. We also recruit undergraduates through our PIER programs and partnership with RxPrep. We give tours to prospective students and alumni/alumnae alike. The RxAmbassadors are the face of PittPharmacy, and as such are held to the highest standards to best represent our school.

What can the RxAmbassadors do for you?
Working with the RxAmbassadors will help you develop leadership skills as a student pharmacist through various opportunities. We help you to practice thinking critically and teach you to think on your feet. As a consequence of our recruitment programs, you will see improvements in communication and public speaking skills, as well as time management. In addition, professionalism is a hallmark of the organization that you will develop throughout your time with us.

You will have to give a practice tour to a current RxAmbassador. When signing up, keep in mind that application tours will occur around our class schedule during the date ranges of Monday, March 25th to March 28th. Any 30-min slot that is highlighted is available. Feel free to contact me (msu1 at pitt.edu<mailto:msu1 at pitt.edu>) if you cannot make any of the available days and I will work with you to find a separate time. Professional dress should be worn for your tour.
