Good afternoon,

With the last week of classes upon us, I've been fielding a number of questions about whether the Python course (PHARM 5834<https://psmobile.pitt.edu/app/catalog/showCourse/UPITT/189615/GRAD/2018-06-30>), typically offered during the Spring, would be offered over the summer. I wanted to reach out to ask about interest in taking this course over the course as an online, self-paced course with some video conference sessions. This course would introduce concepts of programming and data science to anyone with no previous experience. Just a few points of information about the course:

  *   Credits - 3 credits, at summer tuition/fees (Handbook<http://pages.pharmacy.pitt.edu/pharmdhandbook/the-pharmd-student-handbook/admissions/tuition-rates/>)
  * Topics - Basics of Python Programming, Application of Descriptive Statistics, Introduction to Machine Learning methods, Final Project

If you'd be interested in learning more about this course's availability over the summer semester, please let me know before Friday April 26th. This is not a commitment to register, this just indicates with whom to follow-up with information about the full syllabus and options for registration if it is offered this Summer. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Ravi Patel, PharmD
