a new sponsor request.</span></p>

Given the large number of sponsors maintained within MyFunding, a basic search may not always return comprehensive results. In such cases, users are strongly encouraged to utilize the
<b>advanced search</b> functionality to ensure the sponsor does not already exist in the system.</div>

To conduct an advanced search when developing a funding proposal, click on the box with the three ellipses (Figure 1). A new window will open where you can search for the Sponsor’s official name, for example, National Institutes of Health and not NIH (Figure
2). To further narrow your search, <b>use the ‘%’ sign as the 'wildcard'</b>, for example: %National (Figure 3). Once the appropriate sponsor has been located, select the sponsor and click ‘OK’ to save (Figure 4). </div>
