[PERIS-Listserv] Changes to the Default Industry Rate in MyFunding

In response to user feedback, the following enhancements have been made in MyFunding.
The changes include:
1 – When the purpose of the project is Research and Development, selecting an industry, on the General Proposal Information tab, as a Prime Sponsor will default the indirect cost rate to the University’s approved Industry rate found here: Rates2025<https://www.controller.pitt.edu/wp-content/uploads/Rates2025.pdf>  (Figure 1).
2 – When the purpose of the project is Research and Development, selecting an industry as a Direct Sponsor (with an industry prime sponsor), on the General Proposal Information tab, will default the indirect cost rate to the University’s approved Industry rate found here: Rates 2025<https://www.controller.pitt.edu/wp-content/uploads/Rates2025.pdf> (Figure 1).

This default rate can be changed by answering ‘No’ to Question 5 and entering a new rate into the table (Figure 2).
