[PERIS-Listserv] Preventing NIH 'Duplicate Submission' Error in MyFunding

The PERIS(tm) Team has seen an increase in NIH errors due to duplicate titles in SF424<https://electronicresearch.pitt.edu/glossary-of-terms/#s> applications.

This error occurs when the Descriptive Title on the SF424 is identical to another application already in the Commons (see Figure 1).

If you are receiving the error:


  *   Ensure that an application with the same title has not been previously submitted to the Commons for the same Principal Investigator.



  *   If an application has been previously submitted, slightly change the 'Descriptive Title of Applicant's Project' on the SF424 R&R Cover Page (see Figure 2).
