*       Book Discussion Roundtables are now a separate submission type! A book discussion roundtable is a discussion of a book of importance to the field published by no later than August 31 of the convention year.  At least one (1) roundtable speaker must be someone who is not an author, editor, or contributor.

*       Two + 1 Virtual Sessions: To foster robust participation in the virtual convention, those participating in two (2) in-person sessions may also participate in one (1) virtual session. The one (1) paper limit across both in-person and virtual format applies.

  *   Individual paper proposals will ONLY be considered for the Virtual Convention. If you wish to submit a proposal for the in-person convention, you must do so as part of a panel proposal.

  *   The Cohen-Tucker Dissertation Research Fellowships provide a maximum stipend of $28,000 for doctoral students at US universities, regardless of citizenship, to conduct dissertation research in Russian/Soviet historical studies. ASEEES Initiative: Managing Mid-Career Milestones
ASEEES is pleased to offer a two-semester pilot initiative to support and empower scholars navigating the pivotal mid-career phase of the academic trajectory.

  *   This fall, ASEEES hosted two interdisciplinary panel discussions exploring big picture questions and practical strategies for success in the mid-career.
