Exciting progress is happening every day, and we write to renew our invitation for you to join us and your colleagues in doubling the funding available to present and future scholars in our field.



Thanks to the generous participation of over 250 ASEEES members and institutions to date, we:

  *   have raised nearly $625,000 (reaching 89% of our goal).
  *   turned $50,000 from the Carnegie Corporation of New York into $100,000.
  *   turned $72,000 from the US Russia Foundation into $144,000.
  *   doubled the funding for the Research Grant Program, including new grants in Women and Gender Studies and LGBTQ Studies.
  *   established new Civil Society in Russia research grants.
  *   doubled the funding for the Graduate Student Convention Travel Grants and increased funding for other travel grants over the next 3 years.
  *   launched the Diversity and Inclusion Travel Grant program, which was awarded for the first time at the 50th Convention in Boston.
  *   Established the Catharine Nepomnyashchy Travel Grants starting in 2020.

Time is running short, and maximum member participation is our top priority. Every gift of every size makes a difference, and we need to hear from as many members as possible to meet the goal of $700,000.
