[ASEEES] 2018 ASEEES Annual Convention Information

The 50th ASEEES Annual Convention<http://www.aseees.org/convention> will be in held in Boston Marriott Copley Place on December 6-9, 2018. Notifications: We received an exceptionally high number of session and paper proposals this year. The proposal acceptance/rejection notifications were sent out on May 1. If you have not received your notification, please check your spam folder first.  The email is sent through our convention management software and coming from "@allacademic.com".  It is the responsibility of the session organizers to notify the session participants, although we did cc them in the email notifications. The convention program schedule notification will be sent out by early June.

ASEEES Membership: Please note that all participants on panels and roundtables who are scholars, students, and specialists of Russian, East European, and Eurasian studies in any discipline in the US or abroad MUST be current members of ASEEES by May 7: www.aseees.org/membership/individual<http://www.aseees.org/membership/individual> Scholars and specialists outside the field do not need to be members. Registration: The convention registration is now open: www.aseees.org/convention/registration<http://www.aseees.org/convention/registration>  The early bird registration at discounted rates ends on September 7. All participants, without exception, must pre-register and pay the appropriate registration fee.

The first 50 qualified students who apply will be notified with the code for room reservations at that rate. A scanned valid student ID is required when submitting your request.

Travel Grants: ASEEES is delighted to offer travel grants for the convention: the Davis Graduate Student Travel Grant, the Regional Scholar Travel Grant, the Convention Opportunity Travel Grant, and the Russian Scholar Travel Grant, sponsored by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.  The deadline for these travel grant applications is May 21.  We're also pleased in introduce a new grant -Diversity and Inclusion Convention Travel Grant. The deadline for this grant is August 15.
