2016 ASEEES Annual Convention, Washington DC Marriott Wardman Park, November 17-20

The 2016 ASEEES Convention in Washington, DC, promises to be an exceptionally well-attended and lively event.  The acceptance notifications were sent out on April 22. MEMBERSHIP RULES & EXCEPTIONS

All participants on panels/roundtables who are in any related Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies in the US and abroad must be current ASEEES members. ASEEES is offering three travel grants for the convention - the Davis Graduate Student Travel Grant (deadline: May 22), the Regional Scholar Travel Grant (deadline: June 1), and the Convention Opportunity Travel Grant (deadline: June 1). HOTEL

The guestroom block rate at the convention hotel Washington Marriott Wardman Park is $205 per night plus taxes for singles/doubles. For more information on guestroom reservations and on graduate student room request, please see http://www.aseees.org/convention/hotel  The graduate student rooms will sell out very quickly.  For others, we do suggest that you make your reservations soon as we definitely will sell out.

New ASEEES Dissertation Research Grant Program
ASEEES is delighted to announce a new Dissertation Research Grant Program for doctoral students at US universities. Thanks to the generosity of donors and members, we are sponsoring up to ten grants annually, at a maximum of $5,000 each, for the purposes of conducting doctoral dissertation research in Eastern Europe and Eurasia in any aspect of Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies in any discipline.
